The city's tsipouro bars represent the continuation of a tradition which started by the refugees from Asia Minor,who used to gather in the small coffee bars around the port to drink tsipouro (a traditional Greek spirit) accompanied by a selection of seafood snacks.During the decades that followed,the tsipouro bars of Volos have become the ideal place for people for all ages to meet and talk.
